Movie review 7 - Infinite

Updated: Nov 21, 2023

Movie 7 - Infinite(2021) Dir. Antoine Fuqua.

The only things good about the movie are Chiwetel Ejiofor, The cars and the CGI.

The characters are Evan McCauley (Mark Wahlberg) and the villain is Bathurst Chiwetel Ejiofor) fighting over an egg that can destroy the world, They can also re-incarnate and Bathurst doesn't want to do that anymore so he want's all life to end essentially making it there is nothing to re-incarnate to

The plot was interesting in the beginning with the whole past lives things and Mark Wahlberg suddenly having amazing skills, but the story became boring and stopped making sense after a while, My eyes were barely able to stay awake, i thought it was tiredness but it's the movie.

There are unnecessary plot points like being able to store someone's life, making them alive but not really, the useless tech about bringing memories back that is really just a drowning machine. Also why does the bomb have to be on a plane if it is going to destroy the entire earth anyway.

The acting is fine, the action scenes were pretty good actually, the camera angles and the sharp cuts were interesting to watch and well done, the CGI was good especially related to all the high-tech stuff, The Aston Martin vantage just looked cool. The sets were made wonderfully and looked good,

I guess the movie got messed up due to COVID-19 but i still don't think it would have been a success, its a sci-fi movie that would not be fun to watch so do not watch it at all. 3/10
